The futures bright the Futures Hull`s

2014 has for sure been the year of Kingston upon Hull. The world has sat up and taken notice of our once mailened city and opened their eyes to what a gem we really are. I think Iwill have to echo the  Hull daily mail on this and say has Hull ever had it so good?

With Seimeins coming to Hull it opens a door to huger opportunity's than ever before. Hull is a red hot city suddenly. After all 6000 or so jobs creates wealth and as many will be high paid money will flood in. For one let's hope it is a catalyst to start many of the stalled projects. And act to attract even more big name company's in a wide range of sectors.

Hull will grow and so will surrounding towns like Beverley so let up grade the railway line to Beverley as well it will be becoming more than ever part of Hull communter belt.

Let also hope it will draw in a wider range of shops the likes of not seen before in East Yorkshire.

Core Vaules

Every company has a set of core values. And often they are all very similar and it just how  a company approaches them that is the difference what set them apart. But like people companies vaule different things. And in some companies case I suspect they may not realise what their core values are.

But not companies aim to be socially responsible and the likes. And most will have a variety different reason for wanting to reach these loft set of principals. But all that surely matter is they are striving to achieve it

I am a small business how can I make a difference?

You may hear that as a small businesses you can not make a difference and only larger companies can. Yes it true us small business don't have the same resource of large companies.
But small business have many thing that larger one don't.
But before I get to that let make a few points.

  • Small differences can make a huge difference. To thing like charity's
  • From a small acorn comes the might oak
As the charity we support Dove house hospice Every penny counts. It is that simple.
There are as I see it there are only 2 reasons a small business can make a difference.
  1. The owner is making no attempt to
  2. Or their not trying hard enough
But let get back to my earlier point about smaller business have advantages larger companies don't.
We are more flexible and able to react to changes quicker which can be great for charity's I am told.

Who is worth more?

I asked this question on Google plus the other day but thought I would go into more detail.
Why do people get such a bee in their bonnet about the pay and bonus of MD CEO of big companies and the likes but don't bat an eye lid at the wage of top footballers?

So is it just simply 300k for Wayne Rooney OK but not for company executives ? Why?

A boss leading a company that is making millions or billions is not worth it ? I think that you need to pay right to attract the top talent in business and football.

But why do people not react the same when football get these vast sums?

Well done Hull City

On the 8th of March 2014 Hull city AFC took on and Sunderland 3 nil and for the first time in 84 years made the Fa cup semi finals well done to the players and Steve Bruce.
And it only the second Time in the club history that they have visited Wembley. And we all know what happened last time? They where promoted to the premiership. So are the omens on side?
Can Hull City make it to the final? I have a felling they can make the final

So what do all those S numbers on safety footwear mean ?

When it comes safety footwear there is a rating system but what does it mean:

Remember under Uk Law (Personal protective equipment at work regs 1992) an employer is responsible the right equipment for the right job. So it is helpful to understand Ppe safety ratings

S5 turn: 200 joule toecap. All rubber or all Polymeric footwear with antistatic properties. Energy absorption of seat region. Resistance to fuel oil. Penetration resistance cleated outsole

S4 safety footwear rating turn As before with s1>s3 A 200 Joules toecap. All rubber or all polymer footwear with antistatic properties. Energy absorption of seat region. Resistance to fuel oil.

S3 on your safety boots. Well once again 200 joules toecap they all have in fact.fully enclosed heel. Antistatic properties. Energy absorption of seat region. Resistance to fuel oil. Water penetration and absorption of the upper. Penetration resistance. Cleated outsole

So what does S2 mean on Safety footwear: 200 joules toecap protection fully enclosed heal, Antistatic property's energy absorption seat region, resistance to fuel oil. Water penetration and absorption of the upper

Safety footwear come in different rating S1 To S5 PPE S1= 200 Joule toe cap protection' closed seat region (Fully enclosed hell) Anti static propertys, Energy Absorption of seat region. Resistance to fuel oil S1 offer basic protection

Is Hull missing a trick part 2?

It has been suggested before about putting a roof on Whitefrair`s gate to no avial. As it stand you have a havle empty and dead street which has great buildings and architecture above street level just look up.
That is ripe for a mix of shops and cafes if we do something like I suggested previously with Beverly gate and roof the street with a curving roof you could create a unquie shopping street in Hull in time for #Hull2017? Give it a mix of boutique shops in to the mix for good measure

What doesn`t kill us make us stronger?

What does not kill us make us stronger. Is an old expression and in many ways true.
As a species humans learn from our mistakes and other people mistake. It is often how we have advanced though the years. It is at it very core a function of evolution. In so next time some one say it remember there is at least a grain
Of truth to this expression.
I lived thought a house fire on the 1st November 2013 I was already fire aware but it showed me how I will react in a life treating situation it made me stronger. But I am only alive due to fire alarms going off and waking us up.
